Overview
Mid range at any tuning is the predominant voice. The drum leans toward the similar darkness of brass but with a more subdued tonality. The mid and the low are virtually one. Exclusive to aluminum shells, the anodized black process creates a very deep sealant for shell protection, sound enhancement, and a stark visual effect.
The catalogues only list this as being available with black hardware. However there are several examples around on the net with chrome hardware; too many for them all to be retrofits. I'm assuming they were available to order with chrome fittings at one point in their lifespan, but if anyone has more solid information, please do get in touch.
