Overview
Another super rare limited edition Black Panther, created for Aquiles Priester in 2013.
I initially had this listed as a Japan Only model, as Shimano San stated that just 20 units were produced. However, on talking to him about the black powder-coated model, it transpires that that's just what he produced for the Japanese market for Aquiles' Japanese Drum Clinics in 2013. He suggested that chrome would be better for the Japanese market rather than black powder coating. This chrome hardware version became the production model in Brazil, although I don't have exact production figures for it. You can see both in Aquiles' extensive collection, shown below.
I'm trying to check all this information with Aquiles himself, and with Habor (the Brazilian Mapex distributer), but I'm sure they have better things to do than respond to random messages from obsessive Scottish drum geeks. If I get any more information I'll update this listing.
