Overview
This model was released in 2005 and only appears in the 2006 catalogue, after which it was replaced by a slightly deeper 13"x6" version for the 2007 International Black Panther catalogue, when the series was renamed "Traditional Maple". According to an article in Modern Drummer, this series was intended to provide a more affordable, cost-reduced option in the Black Panther range.
Note: Confusingly, this is not the same model as the "Natural Maple" model shown in the 2007 USA Black Panther catalogue which was a 13"x6" model with the Gloss Natural finish.
For the longest time, this model was represented by the lowest resolution picture imaginable. Trying to track down a decent shot - in fact any shot - of this model took absolutely ages, as they just don't show up. Every so often I'd do trawl around the net and...nothing. Then in early April 2023, one randomly showed up on Graham Russell Drums! Awesome - one more removed from the "Low Res Shots Only" list.
