Overview
With tone that’s slightly sweeter and more full-bodied than maple, the Black Panther Cherry Series is distinctive in both its sound and its looks. The high-gloss natural finished drums are appointed with 24K Gold lugs and hoops for an extra touch of luxury.
There are two versions of this shell in the 2007 catalogues - this Wax Natural version is in the 2007 International catalogue, whereas the 2007 International catalogue features the Gloss Natural version; that one continues in the next few catalogues. Same shell, slightly different finish, but with two separate catalogue numbers.
This 13" x 6" model didn't exist pre-2007 when the Cherry series were listed as "Deep Forest Cherry". However, the (very) few examples I've seen online all come with the Deep Forest badge, and as a result I've included that branding in the title. It's not listed as such in the Mapex catalogues though. To be honest, I'm not sure why they dropped the Deep Forest brand from the catalogues, but continued to badge the drums with it. If I get any information on this, I'll update the listings.
