Overview
Here's one I spotted in the wild a while back but I was waiting for permission to show it. It's a red sparkle Black Panther (owned by Derico Watson) and it showed up on an old Facebook post.
Derico kindly gave me permission in October 2022 to add it to the site, I'm afraid to say I pushed my luck to see if I could get any more information. A day or so later and, star that he is, he had checked directly with the Mapex team, who said that it's a rare drum, probably a prototype, and most likely a 6ply, 7.8mm all maple shell.
With the exception of the Thick Maple, some Aquiles Priester customs and some Japan only custom models it's the only sparkle Black Panther I've seen.
