Overview
I was knocked out by the looks of this all Maple snare in 2015 when I spotted it on Facebook, and I still am. Looking at my conversation with Shimano San at the time (all in English - I'd only just started learning Japanese - I'm still not great!) I asked him what "stunning" was in Japanese. It's 「唖然とさせる」(literally "to be made/left dumfounded"). Yep - I'll go with that.
One of the best looking snares ever made in my opinion.
