Overview

Like its traditional maple counterpart, the Black Panther Birdseye Maple gives you a warm, rich tone and the versatility of a finely crafted thin maple shell. The birdseye maple outer ply is produced in a sleek flat black finish.

Quite a rare model this one, I think primarily because it combines two less popular sizes in one: 13" and 4.5". It was produced in the late 1990s/Early 2000s when Mapex appeared to be experimenting with shell construction and size - there are 44 models in the 1997 catalogue!

At the time of writing - Jan 2022 - it's the only 4.5" model in the entire database.
