The year Mapex released the seamless brass Carmine Appice signature snare at the Winter NAMM show. Only 175 of these were made and they are now incredibly difficult to find.
It's also the year Mapex officially launched Orion MapleTech drums, with new shells, ITS tom mounts and undrilled bass drum mounts.
